Born in New York City, Haute Heaven was a happy accident created when it’s founder, Kalla Vieaux, discovered that her clothes were spilling from her closets and taking over her tiny New York sized apartment.Kalla had moved from San Francisco two years earlier, and although she adored New York social life, she found herself missing the west coast. As her executive contract with a massive retailer was drawing to a close, she began devising plans for a transfer back– and selling some of her clothes to make the move easier.
As Kalla was giving her notice, her wardrobe was being packed and shipped– not back to San Francisco, but to newfound customers who couldn’t seem to get enough of her wares. Kalla found herself juggling her last week of work with appointments from customers who wanted to try on dresses from her Patrick Kelly collection to wear to an exhibit opening later that week. Kalla packed up what she couldn’t part with (she pared her shoe collection down to 60 pairs of Louboutins) and headed back to San Francisco with the intention of taking a much-needed break and then re-entering the corporate world. Her friends had another idea, however, and encouraged her to continue pursuing her passion for collecting vintage fashion, this time with the intent to sell, too.
Combining her experience in growing both boutique and department store fashion businesses with her degree in Fashion Journalism from the Academy of Art University, she launched the online boutique Haute Heaven in the summer of 2014. Haute Heaven now specializes in designer vintage and modern clothing, and has a presence on ebay, 1stdibs, and Tradesy, as well as our own online vintage boutique. (We do not currently operate a bricks-and-mortar location, but hope to soon!) Some of our favorite designers include Alexander McQueen, Franco Moschino, Oscar de la Renta, and Stephen Sprouse. Our mission is to provide our customers with unique pieces they will love for
